WIN Feed The Hungry Program 12/26/2025

It may have been raining, but the spirit of sharing was shining at the “Annual Feed The Hungry Program” of the Waraynon Initiative Network (WIN) at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, CA on December 26, 2025, a day after Christmas.

This was the third edition of the WIN project which aims at providing free meals to the unhoused (or homeless) individuals of the Los Angeles area. On its third year, WIN has increased its beneficiaries of said program and served a hundred unhoused guests who were treated to a hot meal prepared by our own Resident Chef Derrick Anido.

Thank you to all the board members who helped make this year’s program another success and to others who were with us in spirit and offered prayers.

We will add on a supplementary project in the future (at this same location) called Project Ropa. More details to follow which involves a clothing and shelter donation drive. Much needed items such as tents, blankets, sweatpants, sweatshirts, jackets for cold and rainy days and nights are essential to the unhoused individuals. Watch out for our next announcement! If you wish to join on the proposed next project, please contact any of the WIN Board Officer for details.

Thank you, once again, for everyone’s support and prayers which made this project possible and a resounding success.

5th and 6th Day Novena

Waraynon Initiative Network (WIN) celebrated its 3rd and 4th Novena to venerate Senior Sto. Niño of Tacloban on Sunday, April 5th. Sponsored by Amabel and Seigfried Margallo.

This is an annual celebration composed of nine consecutive novena prayers in honor of the miraculous image of the holy infant Jesus, patron saint of Tacloban City in our home province of Leyte. This religious adoration culminates in a traditional fiesta celebration in June (venue & date TBA on our next post). This year’s festivities include some activities prepared by the WIN Board of Officers, 2025-2026.

Please see our WIN website for updates and details on upcoming important events and activities
